If you're anywhere near turn 33 that you mentioned at the start of the thread, you should still be in blizzard. If that is the case, and you are advancing, that is going to eat into your truck surplus as you enter an area devoid of a friendly railnet. If it is PBEM, go back and look to see how many more trucks you had in the pool five turns ago. If it indeed is a loss, you can expect that rate to continue for another fifteen turns or so. If server game, note how many trucks in the pool and compare again five turns from now. Same rule applies.

We are at T53 now. I was losing 2500 trucks/week during bad weather - stable now.

When you hit turn 55, your tank corps will be eligible to flip to the 1942b version that goes from 40 medium tanks to 99.

The short version of my response to your question is I don't build tank bns or regts generally, except guards heavy tank and flame tank units.

Eventually later in the war, tank losses mount and the corps start running short of tanks which you could delay/avoid by not building tank support units that use T-34s.

I expect Soviet tank pools to no longer go into four digit numbers on .12 :)

I build a lot of regiments for use in 41/42 - they allowed me to field double the number of tanks, but later in the war they should be disbanded.

This is a quick late war AI vs AI test with the 'Ukraine 1943' scenario. It's a small, user designed scenario, which I like quite a bit.
Morvael, Red Army tank losses went up 50% as you had mentioned (from 2865 to 4015), which is now quite historical.
But can you remind us what changes in the game engine caused this?

Thanks again for the awesome work!

Aren't the screenshots mislabelled? Changes are mainly due to HEAT damage working, correct special ammo tables and rifle squads using all their weapons (I would tune down satchel charge and rifle grenades parameters).

Fixed :). Tx for explaining!

In AI vs AI games Soviet tank losses (and losses in general) are higher than they will be in human vs human play, because I have fixed "berserk" mode for the Soviet AI, that is the will to make attacks at unfavourable odds when they have over overall strength advantage. This bleeds the Axis, and Soviets can replace their losses.

Just a question. How do I make a factory not produce stuff?

You can't as such. Though if you move it, it will of course have to repair and grow before it consumes all the supply I assume you want to save. It is a long term decision, so think carefully.

A prime candidate is the Pe-2 factory that can be moved as it's on map:

30 Pe-2 cost 30 * 830 / 20 = 1245

Not that much but if you are desperate...

Possibly the KV tanks as well since they are not in the Corps TOE from 42b. 64 KV-1 costs/saves 3450.

I do that with U-2VS and even on occasion the IL-2s just because there are so many of them.
