None at all - it should be 100 if MPs are 50

A rifle squad had a strength of 1 leader, 3 gunners and 6 men. The leader was armed with a MP carrying 2 pouches, each with 3 magazines (32 rounds each). Including 1 magazine in MP, the leader carried 214 AMMO. Gunner 1 carried the LMG carrying 1 50 round belt. Gunner 2 carried 4x50-round ammunition drums and 1x300-round ammunition box. Gunner 3 carried 2x300-round ammunition boxes. 1150 AMMO was the first ammunition supply for the LMG. The remaining 6 men were armed with 98K rifle. They had 2 3-section bullet pouches each of which could hold 30 rounds. Including 1 5-round clip in the rifle, each man carried 65 rounds. The remaining 6 men carried 2 to 3 hand grenades (say 18 hand grenades in the squad). (Ref.1) So, I change the rifle squad as shown.
Ref.2 shows that German used ammunition quota for each weapon which, in turn, had a number of rounds alloted to it. 2 ammunition quota for all weapons of the division were carried within the division. Based on the Ref.2 for the ammunition issues (rounds) for a Volks Grenadier Division, the AMMO would be as follows:
Forward Division
Device Name Issue Reserve Total
7.92mm Kar 98k rife 99 75 174
9mm MP38/40 SMG 690 512 1202
7.92 MG34 LMG 3450 2505 5955
The AMMO is substantially increased from the origin. If the change is further made, what would be the impact to the game. Your view is highly appreciated. Thanks.

Dear John,
Which key to be pressed for AI vs AI to start without pressing F12? Should it be automatic?

Paul

Dear John,
Is it a bug or else otherwise?

In answer to your questions:
- Any increase on ammo requirements will mean that you may go short on supplies.
- You need to press F12 to set things off.
- Don't know - I am so immersed in testing the new logistics model for WitW that I have deliberately forgotten all the WitE stuff to avoid confusion.

Dear John,
11th Army and Axis Allied have 0MP in the first turn of Nemesis. I used the Editor Function to set MPs for motorized and non-motorized units. CR showed the changes. GO TO THE MAP, they showed no change, 0MP still. In the Unit page, they showed no change. Then I set them to MP/SMP in the Unit icon. The change was shown in the Unit icon. GO TO THE MAP, the Unit bar showed the MP setting. I saved the scenario, exited the Editor and loaded the game. The concerned units were still 0MP. I loaded the Nemesis in the Editor and exported them to CSV. I input the MP under "mov" and "cur" of the units concerned. Imported them, saved the scenario, exited the Editor. After loaded the game, the MP of them were still zero. Examining the CSV, I found the "frozen" all zero despite of active/non-active units. What should I do to get them move in the first turn without courts-martial Eugen von Schobert?
Regards,
Paul

They are in Romania so frozen rules apply (which are hard coded).

Dear John,
Thanks for the response.
I use the Rail Repair unit to repair manually 4 hexes of damaged rail from the railhead and move it 1 hex back. An Army HQ in which attaches only 5 construction and labour support units is moved to the damaged rail hex next to the one under repair. Each of these construction and labour support units contains 72 labour squads with 36 supports. This Army HQ should automatically detach the construction and labour support units to next 5 hexes of damaged rail for repair. In the next turn, however, there is no sign of these "detached" units on map. How does this automatically rail repair mechanism work?
Regards,
Paul

Nobody really knows! 5 per HQ (less OKH) is about the optimum number. They only get sent within the command range of the HQ and they build from repaired hexes. Exactly when and where they get sent is a bit of a lottery.
This is why you really need to play the game. I find the best approach is to use the Rail Repair units to follow the Pz Gps at best speed and let the auto repair fill in the gaps.

Dear John,
The Manual requires to select the HQ which is 2 hexes away from the target in order to get the artillery support. After I select the attacking units, I am holding down the shift key and move the cursor to the HQ. The HQ and others show on the list. Without holding down the shift key, I left click those units not for the attack. The HQ icon is not shown. So, I left click it. The icons for the attacking units and HQ are all shown on the list. However, the attack is not initiated by right click with holding down the shift key.
What should I do to select the artillery supports from a HQ which is 2 hexes away from the target?
Regards,
Paul

You may be better asking these play questions in the main forum - I never play soviet so I have never used arty divisions which can fire from a distance. SUs attached to HQs are included automatically based on a number of rules and the HQ need not be selected.

Dear John,
With reference to the attachment, huge percentage of FBD of fuel in Rail Repair Unit is observed as the result of 0 fuel needed. The supply needed is also 0 as well. Is it normal or what should I do to rectify the situation?

Paul

Dear John,
I would be grateful if you could help me to interpret the CR of the following ranges for the supply situation of an unit as follows:
RgtR = 23
MPtR = 43
RgtHQ = 4
MPtHQ = 9
Is this unit in good supply.
I found a lot of units having MPtHQ=20+. Are they in good supply as well? Thanks.
Regards,
Paul
