Okay, thanks for the insight. But damn, I'd love to have some Kongo-class ships. Their max and maneuver speed is something to admire. [:D]

Kongo's are closer to Battlecruisers that Battleships. Price for that speed and maneuverability is much thiner armor compeering to "normal" BB

I know, reconstructed battlecruisers. But the Kongo ships' armour compares fairly well to the Repulse which right now is the only BB/BC I can utilize as carrier escort in the entire theatre (Prince of Wales was banged up pretty badly due to playing with historic first turn). Of course once the North Carolina BBs turn up and can be utilized as carrier escorts I won't be looking at those Kongo's again. [8D]

While altitude does have its part in Naval Attacks, the skill level of the pilots in your air groups is very important. At 1000' the planes will use LowN skill. Over that value, it will use NavB. If it is a TB and is carrying torpedoes, it will use NavT skill. Most pilots are trained by a player for two different skill levels. That is needed to raise your Def skill and improve the chance of your plane and pilot making it back to its home base. The speed and maneuverability of the ships being attack makes it more or less difficult to hit.

Having fun now!! [;)]

Has there been a change? Crews should use lownav up to 6000ft and 6000ft+ they should use navbmb.
