As i said above, it could be better if we add the counters which don't be for now on the existing files (posted on this thread) in a new BMP file (or in the empty places of the existing ones) instead of doing a specific BMP file for each scenario.

I think it's better if a scenario's author can take what he wants in an "art/counter" folder that contains all the counters he could find usefull (soviet tanks in your exemple) and especially that this folder is easily owned by all the gamers and shared by all the other authors.
It avoids to mess up with a growing number of independant files.

Game's programmer says me that the sprites.csv files can contains more than 80 000 entries. I think that will be sufficient...

On your picture, The T-34/85, SU-76, SU-85, SU-152 and JS-2 are still existing in the USSR-Vehicles-Sheet-01.bmp file sooner posted in this thread. What i think it's better to do ; is to create a new file (named : USSR-Vehicles-Sheet-02.bmp for exemple) in which you put the T-26, BT-5 and the incomming SU-100. If you don't have any tanks to put in after that you can says that to the community, so another creators can put his tank counters in it, and so on...

If you want to modify or improve an existing counter (like adding a moving turret...) you can agree with the original author and then replace it in the original file, so all the scenarios that use this counter will be upgraded automatically.

Sorry, I badly expressed myself.
I did not absolutely intend to criticize your work.

I thought that you wanted to share it with us and that the others can use it to create scenarios.
I'm trying to organize this, here, and i don't want to impose whatever to the community. I only propose a working process [:)].

My will is that we can work together, share our experiences and take advantage of talents of each.

At least, i like your work, and you can do something i couldn't for the moment : creating moving turret file.

My intention was to create some order in the counter, that mean to not mix different nationality and already provided caunters from the game. All this only to have a more order in the folder and the csv file and also to have the opportunity to develop scenarios from 1941 to 1945 on the East front.
If you have understood ,can you explain me why we must use the custom csv instead to extent the original? The nationality ,like explained over, are not changed.
Since i'm working on a new scenario(ASL scenario)quite big for the standard of HoS,are 9 panels for 2 whole ASL maps, I would like to take advantage from your offer to post scenarios on your site. The scenario conteins the ISU152 and the JgdPzV.This is the reason of my new counter sheet, mainly to have order and turret when needed.
Anyway i must wait the patch 1.09 for the LOS from highest level,do the csv file unless someone do the file with my sheet and test the scenario to understand if is playable.

You are not obliged to use the custom's folder but i thing the programmers do that for the mods not to interfere with the original files in the case the player don't know very well how to save his files...
I didn't understand that you wanted to re-organize the original files and replace them with your BMP files.
I thought you wanted to use the customs folder as expected by the programmers.
If you just want to use your mod for yourself and if you know how to manage your files, you can do it.
But I continuous to think that you should share your work with other gamers...

Furthermore, I think that it's better to preserve the original files if you want to be able to play a multiplayer game.

I would be very happy to accommodate your file on my Web site, i send you my email adress by PM and you could send me your file by "wetransfer.com" and i put it on my server and i give you back the URL of the file.

These turret files must be in TGA format because they must be transparent (a BMP cannot)...

For organizational purposes, 1.09 will allow things to be read out of multiple directories, hopefully that will simplify some of this. You will still need to not have duplicate ID numbers, though, if you're combining different directories of stuff.

Counter pack #1.1
All units in pack are funtioning in game software.
enclosed has 1 sheet of British vehicles, 1 sheet of US vehicles, finished vehicle sheet 05, finished vehicle sheet 06, a new german infantry sheet which includes french infantry, and a french weapons team sheet.

Included are new russian and german vehicles, russian lend lease vehicles.

Special thanks to Laska, Maitrebongo, jcrochio for the bmp files used in this pack.

The Units.csv, sprite csv, and nation csv are included.

Here are some pictures of units...
I still don't know how to put a picture in the post...so i stole bongos pictures.

US vehicles :

PLEASE NOTE: When accessing the british, US american, and french units in the game editor...look for the "Allied" nation or country. All units in Allied must be told what side to go on(for some reason they default) on the german team sometimes. So be sure to set sides.

I didn't understand that you wanted to re-organize the original files and replace them with your BMP files.
Not the original files,I have reorganized the the Russian AFV bitmap. The AFV not included in the original game.I would like to do the same for the German AFV.But this was only for an order in my brain because,at the moment, there are bitmap with some new tank and already existing tank others with the same tank repeated. In other words there was a little confusion for me to work on a new scenario. If we do bitmap for new German and Russian tank(and also others units like gun)with the unique csv file for the East Front is not better and easy to work on new scenario?
Thank you for the explanation on the custom csv and TGA files.

Others 2 possibility. One ,the T28,is a difficult tank to add to the game.It have 2 or 3 turret. The second is better know as Hetzer.
Please give me an opinion.

Well done acropora,
This 3 tanks (Hetzer, T-28 and SU-100) miss us.
It's good idea to add them to the game.
Counter's graphics do the job for now.
The hardest things to do is to find the right numbers for this units...

You are right but is not impossible. The next step is to do the number. If the work like ,i have ready also the Nashorn but is better if we agree on which counters are needed to have a complete (more or less)East Front scenario possibility. For sure I want to add the Pz38T,the most used in 1941.There is another idea but don't require a new counter. The flampanzer is a PzIII with the flame thrower used also in Stalingrad and than at Kursk.
I think that is only a problem of csv file. What do you think?
We could agree on the work, that means I do the counters decided with number and you produce the csv for the East Front. What do you think?

Added 2 British infantry countersheets

(With all this paratroopers, i think we'll see soon an "A bridge too far" or a "Save the private Ryan" scenario... [;)])

At the moment I was not interested in CSV files. Thus I cannot know if I could make them effectively.
Talented creators of this kind of files seem to be usgrandprix or jonj01. They knows much than me...

I think there will be no problem with the units.csv because of what the programmer said :
ORIGINAL: Tom Proudfoot

Only the 2 custom nations are read in. Units can go up to 1000 and sprites something silly like 80,000.

I think 1000 entries is enough for a units.csv dedicated to the eastern front...
