Downloaded and played a one of the new heroes of the gap scenarios after placing counters, etc in proper files. HOWEVER, although I was able to play an original HoS scenario, when I tried a different scenario from this mods (laska2k4 - Hill 253.3), my Germans had soviet tanks (T-60's). Tried playing 88 is enough and the german PzIII was a soviet T-26. IS there any way to make these scenarios work together? It seems a waste to only be able to use some of these and not all.

baloo7777,

When you want to play other custom scenarios just remove the HotG custom .csv files (like "Sprites.csv" and "Units.csv" and "Nations.csv") from "Matrix Games\Lock n Load Heroes of Stalingrad\Custom" and save them somewhere else. Then install the mod according to their instructions. When you want to play HotG again place those HotG custom .csv files back in "Matrix Games\Lock n Load Heroes of Stalingrad\Custom." They are working on making this easier.

The other files and original game files are fine. Just don't touch the "\Matrix Games\Lock n Load Heroes of Stalingrad\Stalingrad" folder.

sonofdavros (and probably baloo7777)

I just downloaded Heroes of the Blitzkrieg and the download is fine. What is happening is this: People (including me) are adding new units and this entails changes in the csv files contained in the Custom folder.

Right now with my mod the 10 counter sheets will not overwrite anything when you install. Nor will the 10 map bmps. Nor will the mpp and map files. I made them so that they were unique and would not overwrite anything. But the csv files (which is why you are getting the T26 and Su 76 as German units) HAVE to overwrite the existing files in the Custom folder.

What you have to do is take the existing Custom folder and back it up. Give it a different name. Then you have to copy the mod you are playing Custom folder in place of the original Custom folder. And you need to do this for every mod. Kinda of a pain in the ass.

There is a file called module.dat that I think is supposed to help with this but I have not messed with it yet so cannot explain it (or even if it helps this situation).

I hope this helps.

usgrandprix - you beat me to it and explained it better!

jcrohio,

Your HotB maps and scenarios are great. Good work. Maps take forever for me to do. I'll probably use yours for a scenario or two becasue they look really good.

These are right from HotB - Copied them from Vassal and took them into Photoshop and pasted them to a template that I downloaded from here - then just a matter of cleaning up

From scratch maps are a pain!

Some updates:

Heroes of the Gap mod requires 1.09 now.

Chef du Pont (part of 82nd Airborne mod) requires 1.09 now.

Added Clearing the Way to my 82nd Airborne mod.

Removed 72 IS GREATER THAN 88 (unless someone requests it again).

I tried to make a comprehensive unit.csv, sprite.csv for WWII. I was pretty sure I didn't overwrite any of your unit ID #'s from hell.

But Hell came out a very long time ago. Its units were the first to go on these csvs. I got your update for HotB. I would place all of these in unique unit ID's but then that would make a problem for my scenarios, laskas, and Usgrandprix scenarios.

I'll take a look at your unit csv for HotB tonight. How many scenarios have you made using these specific unit IDs.
I can find a spot for all your units..so at least all the WWII stuff comes from one master counter csv.

I can even go back and re put the units on "hell" so its the same units and all the WWII units are unique.

Let me know what you want to do.
