I go into the team maintenance panel, I've got roughly 1300 quatloos to help keep the team in fit racing form.
I decide to buy a horse for my 3 horse team. That cost me 1000 quatloos. Sheesh. The price of horseflesh has
really spiked in old Hispania.
I then swith the newly fixed up team with the battered and tired beasts of my best driver. Voila ! We are ready for the
next race.

Hrrm, I get a hall pass for the first turn. Maybe it's time to make the poor beasts suffer.

Wow, whipped is not really descriptive enough. Killed by the lash. Sniff. Goodbye to my most experienced rider.
Reduced to a grease spot on the track. Wow.....
Time for a change. Lets see if we can get out of this bad luck berg.

Rats, I can't race and I can't move. I skip a race, which costs me 300 quatloos.
Yet my team is still not ready !
Que Jim Morrison....This is the end....my only friend...the end.
But wait ! I can still sell stuff.

Sounds like my first spin with the game, to be honest. I find being aggressive not overly rewarding, especially early in a race.
Well, and that northwestern part of Iberia still has to be pacified. Maybe you can find some job in that enterprise? [;)]

Yeah, I was too aggressive. Too many flipped chariots. I am running another one in Syria right now and the chariots and horses are
a lot heavier. I'm finding that there is some subtlety to racing with the different factions. I am becoming addicted to the first place
trumpet tribute. I find myself walking around the house swinging my arms to the tune. My wife is beginning to give
me curious looks.
