Arab/Israeli? Nah. Count me out. I might not even buy it.

Why not something closer to the present series - like Ukraine seeks closer ties with Europe, tensions escalate, Nato moves a task force into Ukraine, Russia invades eastern Ukraine, Nato takes them on - something unlikely but topical like that?

Actually, I'm pretty sure that is the scenario for the next modern version of Combat Mission.

Hard decide one period... if i think in middle east i prefer see 60-70 but in a west VS east i see more attractive 50-60 in a what if like FCP

For me the lower interest in in post 2000 and pre WWII... i dont know how can deal engine with masive infantry combats, the lack of movility reduce a lot the speed and with a realtime system... even 1 day battles are to small and here you are not in "virgin" terrain.

I cant decide what vote but i select 60s because you have Middle east, early WWIII (even when i prefer 1945-1959 period for this).

Yeah, but I can't handle the (lack of) significant AI, friendly or enemy, in that game.

I voted 2010s. That said, there is such a dearth of games set in Vietnam... I've played HPS's Squad Battles / Tour of Duty.. OK but I'd like something different. Waaay back in the 80's Microprose published what I think was the only strategic level Vietnam game.

I would love to see something akin to Next War: Korea. I wouldn't mind seeing the Korean War period, both historical and hypothetical. It is a sadly overlooked conflict. Great game by the way, I plan on supporting anything you guys do with this engine.

That is an excellent idea!! Or even a second Korean Conflict set in the 1980's!

For inspiration, Larry Bond's Red Phoenix is a fantastic read on that very subject. IMO it is the equal of Red Storm Rising.
