Don't hit me with them negative waves so early about this movie. Think the movie will be great and it will be GREAT! It's a mother, beautiful movie, and it's gonna be GREAT. Ok?

Sit back enjoy the great views and some action in a tank movie not seen since the 1970's. A Sherman can give you an edge in firefight; they aren’t all Ronsons. Of course there is another promo where a Sherman get's hit and the turret shoots up about 50 feet into the air.

You just gotta love it when you are watching a promo and you start yelling “TRAVERSE RIGHT!” [:D]

I am very willing to see it and then decide first hand.

Try Generation War a German movie. Watch it then read what the critics have to say.

I should add it's in German with sub titles, unless a version has now been made ala Das Boote.

I was a Ranger-type grunt in my generations war and still laugh about the day a line of M60's rumbled my squad off the side of a 40 foot loose dirt sided hill during an Escape and Evasion exercise................

I'll reserve judgment as well. As a former tanker, I'm up for almost anything with tanks in it. [&o][:D]

In that regard, I have been extremely disappointed. 99% of the time I spend in this game is seeing things getting packed, unpacked, organized, and moved around.

As for the movie itself; Shia LaBeouf? That alone gives me pause...

Remind's me of a book I read in the public library once when I was a kid.
It was called"Tramp in Armour"about a matilda that was caught behind german lines
during the battle of france.Of coarse the crew were more interested in getting
back to their own lines alive not winning the war singlehandedly.

Written by Colin Forbes. Good book but I preferred his 'Palermo Ambush'

When I read outnumbered and behind enemy lines in 1945 in a tank, figured the movie would be about Task Force Baum, no such luck.

Yeah, one of Georgies mistakes.

Pitt's better than Affleck by a power of 10, I believe. He read the script before taking the job.

The reviewer states that David Ayer's recent work (to be positive) is "consistent" and "predictable". Oh dear.... [:(]

I expect Pitt to be brilliant as usual. I'm thinking it will be worth seeing but painful, because of the graphic violence, not Ben Affleck's presence. Any day without Affleck is like a day full of sunshine. [:D] Every great movie I've ever seen has had critics aplenty. I want to see this one in the theatre and not wait for it on cable.
