You may not realize what a truly monumental task that would be to actually code. Yes it seems so easy, but to take code that is this complex and then modify it to allow manual manipulation would take forever. And then other things would not get done.

Just something to think about.

I agree on this (reluctantly). However, this example is making me a little worried. This example means that you have to check really everything manually, whatever the case, even if you think the form is correct!

You not only have to check on the form itself, but even have to check the route each resource or build point takes. And you have to do that with the whole group of nations. Now, imagine a multiplayer game going on and the French player gave his OK on this? I would be very angry with the USSR and say to the French at that moment: your trains with oil are stalled on the railroad, because the USA build point going to Moscow get priority. MWIF however now thinks the French get there oil points through Murmansk. That's not good at all, since it is the player who owns the minor port who will decide what to trade through the port and not MWIF!

No way uncle Joe would have allowed that oil to flow to the French and not getting a build point from the US in return. No way...

To me, that's the real problem with this, so there is a bug in here after all. Who decides which resource or build point goes where? MWIF or the player?

such is the game...but not a bug.

It's the USSR's decision whether or not it gets a build point from the US or sends an oil point from the CW to the French, since they control the railroads and the minor port both has to use...

So that is a bug, if they can't influence the way MWIF makes the calculations...

Here is RAW on this:

The move can only pass through:
• hexes you control;
• hexes in neutral minor countries; and
• hexes controlled by another major power, but only if it allows
you.

Roger that...but I would hope my allies would not refuse such a request.

I can possibly see that in a multi-player game, assuming the Russians would be happy to receive nothing more...

But this is a two-player game, Axis vs Allies and if the Allied PMs are greater than 1 there's greater net benefit in allowing the oil to be transported. (Additionally I really doubt that rule is coded, anyway.) If the PMs are 1, it's a wash. (2 more CW BPs, 1 less Russian and the US gets no benefit from the 1 it lent.)

Sure, but Multiplayer will be put in eventually, so this bug needs to be noted and fixed before multiplayer hotseat and/or netplay comes around...
