Here's an overview from the Soviet point of view in T2. I still own Riga but not for long. River defenses are holding so far but John
is going to leap over the river sometime soon. Maybe next turn. He's advancing and destroying all the remnants as he goes.

Here's what Murmansk looks like now. I don't remember any attacks up here so maybe this area will be stable for a while.

Here's what it looks like just north of Leningrad. John's Finns have broken my lines and are streaming southeast and I've got nothing
to stop them with. Defenders I might have used are in garrison mode and can't help out any.

Here's what the Minsk area looks like now. John is flowing like water looking for the least resistance, surrounding my dudes and
eventually destroying them. I'm terribly outnumbered and outgunned. I've pulled all the aircraft that will fly to the Moscow area for
some needed rest and refit. The readiness is in the 30's on average and I'd like to see at least 60% before I unleash them on the
Axis. I expect to eventually outnumber the Axis in the air if not on the ground and when the proficiency and readiness gets above
60% we can expect to see some 3-dot attacks by my better fighters. The biplanes are falling out of the sky and if they could fly I'd
move them to the rear areas to just get them out of the way. I'm going to get a big truck-load of troops in T4 and the problem will be
getting them to the front in time to be useful. I could use a lot more rail capacity.....that comes in a future turn as I recall.

Here's the area just south of my Stalin Line down south. I've managed to destroy most of the bridges across the river but on the other
hand John is handy at jumping rivers so I need to man the riverbank as well. The Stalin Line isn't going to last more than a couple of
turns so I'm thinking this area is as good as secure for as long as it's going to need to be. The Romanians are up and moving however,
so John could be outflanking me any time now.

An update on the above picture. I am over the river and attacking the Stalin line from the rear. I also have two panzer divisions closing in on the front.

Hey I just had a rather good idea. I've posted the moves I got from John to a FileDropper service and the password is "password"
without the quotes. Here's the link to the T1 Axis moves:
http://www.filedropper.com/fiteronsmodv1110
Just load it up as you would any PBEM file and give it the password and then you'll be in command of the Soviets and can take it from
there if you'd like. T1 for the Soviets.
I'll post some more turns so you can do the same from whatever turn you'd like.
EDIT: The advantage you get from downloading the file is you get to watch the replay on your machine and you can play the Soviet
side as if you were me and this were your game with John. Sort of.

Here's what I'm planning on doing: John's advance and jump across the river caught me by surprise and flat-footed. It's way too
early for this to be happening. This wasn't supposed to happen until T4 or so. So I'll have to pull back and quickly or lose a lot of
people. The thick green line is the new proposed front line and the Soviet units north of Daugavpils will have to displace to new
positions.
All the planes that could fly were flown to the Moscow area just so I could utilize the few AAA guns that I knew where they were and
they were handy. I'm planning on resting them until their proficiency or readiness ( I can't remember which it is now. I know it's not
necessarily supply ) gets to about 50% THEN I'll activate them again. I need to time it so that the most of them get activated at the
same time. Not a good idea to fly bombers w/o escorts to protect them. That means I'll need the fighters first so I'm parking them on
the airbases that have a rail running nearby so that the best possible transfer of supply happens.

This is the area just north of the marshes. The thick green line is where I propose putting the front lines. I've emphasized the river with
some thin blue lines. The double red lines represent the area where there is no natural defenses like a river or some hills etc. to help
with defense. So that will probably be my weakest area and I'll have to put some tanks in the defenders to beef up the line. I'm pulling
troops in this direction from all over the map and most of them aren't going to get here in time probably. So I'll have to fight a slow pull-
back toward Moscow while I try to build a second front line about 100 km to the east in better terrain.

Here's the mouth of the Marshes. My roadblocks are hampering the Axis advance in this area so the front lines have passed way to the
east just north of this image. I'll have to pull these troops back or risk losing them because of the Axis ability to get behind them now.

Here's the area just south of the marshes, the Stalin Line area. John has leaped across the river a lot faster than I was anticipating
and is surrounding my defenders. I'm planning to displace to new positions along the next river to the southeast. I don't remember the
name of it right now. The trouble with this plan is that John won't have any trouble leaping that river too. It might slow him down maybe
one turn tops. So I'll have to keep pulling back to the east.
