Fear not sir! I will be providing pictures once this game get's underway. The pictures will take one of two forms:
a) Pictures of the maps and victorious units (in the unlikely event that I am winning), or
b) Pictures of beautiful women to take my population's minds off the fact that "the war has progressed not necessarily to our advantage"

What about joke (or, well, partial joke) suggestions?
Orm, if you're the Axis, make a point of sinking the Warspite (it can be your 1941 campaign goal). Gotta be worth the resulting morale check, am I right? [;)]
warspite1
Sink the Warspite? Dont be so bloody ridiculous......[:@]
[;)]
Rumour has it that HMS Warspite is unsinkable.
warspite1
You better believe it sunshine

She's recently had a refit, she looks a million dollars, and she's not in the mood for any Axis nonsense....

I don't believe it! Them Narzeyes have only gone and declared war on the poor Poles, the rotters....
I have set up the Polish Army as best I can - keeping the air force out of the way so that the CW can nab the pilots.

Well: let's see how you guys are going to battle on the battlefield.
And to the honourable Mr. Orm: absolutely NO looking into the US entry positions! No cheating allowed here! If I ever find out that you do, I will personally advice Mr. Warspite to flatten your home using the big guns of HMS Warspite... [:-] I'll advice mr. Warspite not to show any information on that in here too.
It's so much fun to provide all kind of misleading information to the Axis (and your Allies too) if you keep that one secret as the US player. How much fun it is if you suddenly announce to the world that the US is DoW'ing the Japanese or the Euroaxis and succeeds...
It is not really possible, or practical, to hide the US entry from me. [:(]
I will try to not act upon the information and act very surprised when needed.

Germany and Japan take a land impulse.
No Port Strikes.
Germany fly a fighter to the zero box in the Baltic Sea. No other naval air.
Italy send out a submarine squadron to the Western Mediterranean for practice.
No strategic bombing.
Japan send two bombers to ground strike Changsha. Meanwhile, in Poland, Germany launch all their Stukas to ground strike Lodz and Warsaw.

The bombing mission against Warsaw is not as great as the mission against Lodz.

The Japanese bombers manage to disorganize one unit and consider that a success.

the Japanese Stuka strikes again. nice set-up pulls for the IJA, who have managed to work out the best they could from their aircraft experiments through the 1930s.
the Mohawks wisely maintained a small CAP over their base and waited their chance to strike the IJA air forces when they are more extended away from strong fighter escorts. that Ki-38 can tend to threaten the Kuomintang's home cities, and those IJN Nells can show up almost anywhere in China.

Thanks to the optional rule
railway movement bonus the German Jagdpanzer is able to reach one of the Polish aircraft and overrun it. [:)]
However, I am not sure that I will do that since I want it included in a attack where I need those two points as well. But, on the other hand, is it always good to remove a Allied pilot. [&:]
It will take me a while to remember to play with this set of optional rules. I've already made plenty of mistakes. As an example I can mention that two HQs have not been able to reach the hex that I expected due to the
HQ movement option.

I like to play with HQ Movement. Logistics should be a challenge in war, and the HQ-A units kind of make a farce of that.
But it is a very difficult one to remember when you go to move units around.
edit: conversely, I do not use Railway movement, though I feel it could be refined to lower movement costs into hexes that cost more than 2 to start with, after weather mods. I don't think it is used often, or will remain in the game in the future, though I could be wrong on that last point.

Warspite, I suggest you use the western media to distract the Germans and deliver a morale blow. Something like this:
