I purchased the game. So far, so good.
A subject matter I am keenly interested in.
The perfect light, brief play through war game to pass the time with on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Just what I was looking for! [8D]

I really like this game. It is a nice treatment of tactical situations in the period under study. Easy to play. The unit detail is pretty good. The Turkish units were a novel surprise in a Turk-Polish skirmish I played. I have found that that I am not able to beat the AI above the intro level. For instance at level 2 my cavalry seem to just disintegrate on contact with the enemy. Several of the campaign scenarios seem impossible. Despite this it is a lot of fun. Fun is a missing element in many modern simulations. I am not always in the mood to run the entire Pacific Theater or Operation Barbarossa by myself.

I have watched this game for the last few days with great interest, although it is not a period in history, that I know much about.I have read all the comments both here and over at the Slitherine forum, plus downloaded and watch a number of AAR videos,I have just purchased a copy of the game,I'm now going to read the manual.I'm looking forward to any future patches, that are in the pipeline, and I feel the game has a bright future,I would like to take this opportunity to thank, everyone who was involved in creating this excellent game.[&o]
