hmmm, one of the things above usually helped when someone had that error with other games... maybe you should try a clean installation in a different directory.

No replacing my lua files did not work for me either. Still the same error message,

I did the troubleshooting as above but having the same issues. Running on Mac with vmware. Windows 7 pro 32 bit

no for me also. Both reinstalling and using yours lula ddl. Win7 64 bit home ed.

hope have a fix for all having the lua issue. Had same issue and tried all solution posted here including the vs2012. Have win7 bit64 so downloaded the vsu..x64 ver. but still having issue. Then while searching I checked the program list under control panel and all the visual c++ had the x86 version. so to make story short installed the x86 version from the vs2012 and the program is working !!!! hope this will work for you all. ciao

Guys, try installing the X86 redistributable, even though you have a 64 bit computer. You should have both x64 and x86 installed.

Guys, try installing the X86 redistributable, even though you have a 64 bit computer. You should have both x64 and x86 installed.

Windows 8.1, 64 bit (Mac + vmware), same issue.
