[:D] The turn is away. I gave orders to task forces at sea and the Chinese. I ordered a base force to Tienshui to allow aircraft to stage south, the rest was the general "run for the hills" kind of thing. I will look over Alfred's suggested China defense and see if I want to drift in that direction over the weekend. Force Z was ordered at flank south south west. The cruiser at sea was ordered to Palambang at flank as well. Other than that it's time to chew stones and see what happens. Oh yeah, US cruisers in the PI are ordered SSW. I hope he is using PPs as the first map below is scary with all the little arrows. I mentioned it in an email with the turn.

Since Manila felt KB's sting, then you can probably expect a rapid conquest of SRA/DEI in the weeks ahead. [:(] I would have any AV, AVP, or others with Aviation Support to be headed west asap along with lots of PBYs to see what's up.

And if the IJN is going to be active in the DEI, and the Strait of Malacca is presumably closed by bombers, refugees from the Philippines should go down between the islands and then break NE between Pagan and Iwo Jima on their way to Midway or Dutch Harbour for fuel. Fuel can be sent out to meet whatever ships make it past the Bonins/Marianas gap.

Not just Koniu, Family and work. If the KB is in DEI, raise hell with your CVs in CentPac or maybe a deep raid.

Well he took Tarawa today and I probably could have intervened with Halsey. I played it conservatively. On the 8th I ordered a return to Pearl at flank by both carriers and put the kitchen sink on ASW. I am getting some ideas though as I may have 30-45 days to play a little in the Pacific.

Thanks to George we have highly organized intelligence.
**This is a cut and pasted portion of Intel Monkey. While only two days exist in the files, you can see how sortable certain
actions are which may be of interest to me. I think this will be make SigNet a more valuable asset moving forward.**
ps. Thanks for your patience with me sir.

I see Wake on the target list. Do you have anything in the area? Or could you get something in the area?

Was it a full KB strike on Manila? No carriers detected elsewhere?

You can see the number of sorties below, I think it was full KB less maybe two CV? It is taking forever just to get merchantmen loaded for resupply missions. Today I try to get supply to outposts, Singers (this ain't going to be easy), and to the Marine objective above. I do have enough escorts and AOs in CenPac to raid should that make sense. Sara departed the West Coast before the expected hoard of IJN subs arrives. I sent additional escorts from Pearl today back to the West Coast to make escorts for AOs and transports.

Aleutians - I would send a SC TF or two up here from Pearl based around the newer CLs and 4 to 6 DDs each along with some subs to forestall any invasion in western part of this island chain. This area is where you could send a pair of the old slow BBs. Send an AS to be based out of Dutch Harbor.
Cape Town - I send the 40th & 41st American Divisions here for India. Think about some of your DBs to go as you could use them in India 'if' invaded. My 'spidey' senses would be tingling right now about defending India. Lots of fort building and only Delhi building AF to 7 to allow upgrades. Some AA, CD, and FAs head here to. Also 50th FG.
Construction Engineers - My 'rule of thumb' is to sent the EABs to India while my SeaBees stay in Pacific.

The 51st Fighter group railheads to the East Coast. They should ship out in 72 hours for Africa. I will follow on with a bomb group or two in the near future.

I wanted to wait a day or two to answer Herr Cannonfodder. I have not seen another IJN carrier TF. Nadda. Only one mysterious Kate siting in the southern PI.
