Sounds interesting - who designed/developed it?

Vengeance appears to be an updated version of Medieval 2 (which was an update of Medieval) by Jeff Lapkoff and Incredible Simulations. Good game.

I have few questions.
I wonder are there any bigger scenarios? Battle from demo was small and I don't see any potential for replayability. Do bigger scenarios offer more tactical options. Falkirk is very straightforward.
Are the renaissance battles play different than medieval ones? I'm afraid that all scenarios play exactly the same.
The more I look at screenshots the more I love the graphics and art style.

Don't know but here is what it says:

•Badon Hill.
•Brunanburh.
•Hastings.
•Agincourt.
•The Battle of the Ice.
•Brave Heart and many more...

If you are not going to tinker with the editor, my guess is the game will not be worth $30 for you. Gameplay is smooth and fast, but nothing special. However, you can create unlimited new unit types and terrain values, etc. There are enough parameters to change that you can be pretty creative if that's your thing.

So I am enjoying it. But to buy just to play the stock scenarios, I don't think so. Also, it is doubtful a modding community would develop as there is no forum I know of that has even mentioned the game. To my knowledge, HPS doesn't have a dedicated forum. That always puzzled me.

I feel the same way. I'm not interested in editor so the game is to expensive for me. If hps had forum, there would be chance for the modding community. Matrix forums add so much extra value to the games. I can't understand why hps doesn't have one. It would push me into buying that game.

Yep, they're not into advertising. OT, the Vengenance download is 70 meg, compared to 35 gig for TW Attila.

i love a good editor and do like to alter stuff, but for me the time periods atm aren't my thing. but would maybe play them if not busy with other stuff at the time
