Bob, the game will only update if " Commander The Great War " is in the window above the Ok button, see photo.

Hi Kirk!

I fudged up my game version to the point where I had to uninstall the game to start over with a new basic game CD install. Once I get that updated to just 1.60 beta I'll be able to finish some MP matches there, then move onto 1.62. Have a request over at Slitherine Support Tech as to how to just install patch 1.60 beta, hope it works.

Thanks, Bob

Kirk

Gave it another try, CD/change/games finished install, that part went OK. clicked desktop icon, it would not function (had not installed 1.62 yet). Prior to clicking install there is a selection button to create a shortcut for user and a button for all users, for the new install takes the place of the existing shortcut 1.60 beta ctgw desktop icon. This selection "did not allow" me to do in install without creating a shortcut (this I saw as a problem). I tried to create another cgtw desktop icon renamed 1.62 but was not allowed to. Ended up going back to programs did an uninstall of ctgw, then reinstalled CD, now I am back to working version of 1.60 beta in SP/MP credits. Maybe I'll get it someday..
