as Goblin pointed out earlier...these pictures only prove the following:
1. The allies had Aircraft armed with rockets and bombs.
2. The RUSSIAN 122mm and 152mm guns packed a whallop with their heavy rounds. (though most of these look like 76.2mm strikes....maybe 85mm's....but most likely 76's)
3. So far NONE of these pictures were the result of run in's with M4's.
Besides...how many M-4's would have survived this kind of punishment for long?
If anything is picture is a testament to the heavy pounding the Tiger could take!
Of course I agree with you on one thing....if this were an M4 it would have only two round marks on it....but those would be the one going in and the one going out!

oKAY i FEEL BETTER NOW......
I set up a 30 x 30 map with 43 Tigers on one side and one E8 one the other..Me Vs the AI
on turn 1 I killed 6 right off the bat at range of 83
AI turn one the remaining 37 charge me with 18 more dead Kats

Hmmm....you know, now that I think about it....that was probably the historical ratio of battles between Shermans and Tigers!
