I think you guys are overlooking that it is very much possible to reach this far east if SHC play is poor. We haven't seen much of the AAR, but I think it's safe to assume that what's going on here is in large part due to the mistakes Brian said he's made than it is due to air supply or other reasons. After all, there are many AAR's up using the same version and not many look like this (none?). If you never used air supply or HQBU at all and just moved the soviet pieces out of the way, the Germans could probably reach the east edge of the map before MUD....

As for Germans and risky moves, if the SHC doesn't make you pay for the risky moves mud or not, then the moves really aren't all that risky....

Actually, tdv is very good. That and fighting forward are a toxic mix. I have fought forward and all over the map.

One preview, Kharkov has changed hands about 5 or 6 times. Maybe 7.

He has paid in very heavy casualties. and this is his limit, at turn 17, for now. And I retook Tula. Which felt great!

His fueling of forward units is NOT the reason we are where we are nor where we will be.

I did not evac b/c, well, I still had contact with Leningrad.

I think he attacked Leningrad in snow turn and they were really not a happy bunch of defenders and the city fell very quick.

His MP to rr was beyond 100 in that snake column. And that is a German tank reg, future prisoners!

Do I see the beginning of Wear and tear.

I don't believe mud slowed either of us down. He mostly did not move his main forces which he would use as soon as weather allowed.

Very positional play during mud. But he will attack only if necessary.

Since he does not garrison he usually uses a split up sec unit to do one soaking battle before his main attack. This is large in his attack manual.

Based on this battle, the Germans must have some very well trained horses.

How else to explain the surviving 14 art and 3 afv but no personnel.

I can just see them now, all hooked up, clomping back to base depot to get fed.

He saved his trapped troops from the prior mess. he has very few troops west.
