Next on my list will be To End All Wars, as I don't have a WW1 game in my portfolio and this looks good.
Others I would like to pick up include Civil War II (I have Forge of Freedom but just couldn't get into it) and Revolution Under Siege Gold (I'm sure it will be on a Steam sale at some point).
Cheers,

Steal Tigers, DC3 (Which is sounding amazing) and maybe TOAWIV.
Doggie I'd go for WW1Gold every time over any other WW1 game..followed by Strategic Command The Great War.

There is also Commander: The Great War if you want a simpler entry point for WW1. It's fun and plays relatively fast, but obviously does not offer the same sort of depth as the other choices mentioned. Strategic Command WW1 is a nice step up from Commander and an excellent game (Plus you get a fun 1870 Franco-Prussian War scenario). Then WW1 Gold and To End All Wars, which I have not played, as I get dizzy just looking at the screenshots [:D]

Ww1 Gold ran badly on my computer and was very hard to get into. To End All Wars is a great game, if you like the Ageod "Athena" engine, which I do like.
I was doing a Let's Play of it on youtube under the name Gilmer 9999 but then I started getting CTDs. I think the CTDs were my fault, because I alt-tabbed out of the game for a really long time as I was uploading the videos. To the point where the game stopped responding.

Tigers on the hunt... probably wait for player feedback and AAR's
TOAW 4 ... i have TOAW3 so i'll wait to see how much of an upgrade it is and price point.

Wodin, what is this DC3 of which you speak? I don't see anything about it on the website.
I should have known better than to post this thread, I already see a couple more games I'd like to pick up...

I also wanted to buy SSG's Kharkov: Disaster on the Donets + Across the Dnepr: Second Edition to make my collection of SSG titles complete, but I don't know... The forums are dead... I wonder if anybody still plays these games... [&:]

I have been a big fan of CTGW for quite awhile now, but I think it's time to move on. Did check out Strategic Command WW1 today, unfortunately the YouTube video I watched did not have a narrator explaining what was happening, just a lot of movement, however I could appreciate different aspects of the game. My main concern right now: Is to know if a game or any game is being fully supported? Plus, Does it have an active MP community?

Wodin, thanks I'll take a look at those. How do they compare To End All Wars? What are the main points of difference?
I've not had a lot of experience with the AGEOD system, tried Pride of Nations and it makes sense, albeit I found it a bit "clunky" if that makes sense.
Cheers,

Cheers,
Pride of Nations was a good concept but it just didn't work well with the Ageod system. To End All Wars is much better and obviously covers a much smaller period.
WW1Gold was a board game ported to the PC - the armies are represented by numbers like 5 power and 4 power and such. To End All Wars much more detailed in that sense. There are some AARs of WW1 gold on the Ageod forums and you can get a sense of what it is like.
CTGW is a lot simpler as well with units mostly just Artillery, Cavalry, Infantry, militia. Not a lot of different units. Very good game, but to me on scale of complicatedness maybe a 3, whereas To End All Wars more like an 8 on complicatedness.
