Well, the graphics gets all tainted, looks like a load picture from the Commodore 64 : } ...then it comes back to normal.
Once it locked up as well.

You have a GForce card? I had similar problems when I went to the 40-41 series drivers, problem went away when I went back to the 29.80's. Unfortunately, I prefer the 41.09 :D

Yep, GeForce2GTS with 6.13.10.4109 drivers....
So I can roll back and get a more stable UV - but loose the advantages that comes with the new drivers :p

Not exactly a win/win situation!

Yup I agree :mad:

How about it Matrix? Seems the only other time I remember this being brought up, someone (Ross I believe) said that his system had a similar setup but experienced no problems.

I'm seeing the same garbled graphics when I Alt-Tab in and out. They usually clear up, or like someone said, at worst when I hit the Exit button off the "savegame" screen.

I'm running XP, but not GeForce. I've got a basic video card. SysInfo calls it a "AG 315-64". Its not critical or game or computer of life threatening, but it isn't pretty.

On the PBEM, here's what I really would like to see.

In the setup for the PBEM game, I put into UV the email address of my opponent. Then, when I'm done with my turn, UV automatically calls a zip utility, zips the files up, the automatically fires off the email client and sends them.

For incoming files, all I need to do is point UV to a directory where I save the Zips that are attached to the emails. I get a file-open dialog pointing at that directory.

Since you can use long filenames on computers these days, I'd like to see it take advantage of it and name the zip files something like [username from email addr] - [scenario name] - [side]-[turn number]. Since UV is creating these files, this is automatic. So when I look in my incoming zip directory, what I see is something like

AdmiralJoe = Scn 19 = IJN = 5-21-42.zip

This is what I get from AdmiralJoe@hotmail.com when playing scnerario 19 with him as the IJN when he sends me the turn from 5-21-42.

Don't think there is any REALLY fancy here, but with a little bit of work I bet you can make a lot of PBEM's REAL happy.

And just think of all the free advertizing you'd get from all the messages on all the other forums saying "I wish company X would do their PBEM system the way Matrix and 2by3 do with UV\WITP"!
