Turn 13

Overall situation. He's making good progress up the coast and I have stalled in the south while I wait for reinforcements.

Image

Here's the sitaution in the south. I am waiting before I advance to get some additional reinforcements. Those helicopters are annoying beyond belief.

Image

It looks like a couple of Israeli infantry companies are attempting to clear the woods north of Baawerta. My Opportunity Fire and Direct Fire took a toll, causing some fairly decent casualties.

Image

Hmm, what's missing? The Cobra's!! My SU-57 SPAA was put to good use and ended up destroying both flights. Scratch four Cobra's.

On the negative side, the M-60 company escaped and I suffered a number of casualties.

Turn 14

Baawerta receives some tank support. They should be on scene in the next couple turns. You can see them assembling around Aabey. The rest of the column is along the east edge of the map.

Image

After causing some casualities last turn, I pulled back the commando's and am drawing the Israeli's into a killzone. Fighting in the woods is beneficial for my troops, as the ranges are close, where causing casualities is my goal.

Image

In the south, I'm reteating. With my main supply route compromised, it is best I pull back and deal with the incursion. The mechanized infantry are going to advance and hopefully rout the Israeli infantry on the road.

Image

Still pulling back to Khaldah and getting the Milan teams positioned on the ridge. So far, so good. He hasn't probed through the woods yet to clear the ridge.

Turn 15

T-55's have shown up at Daqqouri in support of the eventual assault on Baawerta.

A couple more turns and I should be ready to rumble!

Image

Bugger, he's attacking in strength in the south, so I am pulling back even quicker. Lots of armour supporting his advance... and those blasted helicopters.

My Milans are being put to good use in the north though! I have taken out a couple tanks and getting ready for the next attack. I have laid some IED's with the terrorist units I have in the outskirts of Khaldah.

Turn 16.

Situation in the center. He's pulled back out of Line of Sight.

Image

Situation in the south. He's also pulled back, but left an infantry screen.

Image

Situation in the north. This turned into a bad turn for my opponent. He left a company of armoured infantry in M113's in Line of Sight to my ridge full of Milans. Unfortunately, it didn't fair well for the Israeli's.

Image

At this point I checked the unit losses and victory conditions. I typically don't check every turn, as I find it a unnecessary distraction when one becomes obsessed with the points.

Here are the unit losses (top and bottom scroll of the list):

Victory standing at the end of Turn 16.

Image

Note that while I have lost twice as much, the Israeli troops are worth more Victory Points, so their total is higher.

And this is where the scenario ends. My opponent suggested starting it again, which I am absolutely game for.

Thanks for reading!
