I was too dumb to play ASL solitaire, and then came the Atari 800 48k, and Chris Crawford's Eastern Front 1941. That Atari must be worth something, Zorch!
Unfortunately they made too many of them to be worth a lot. I bought a 2nd one on eBay for $100.

I played so many of the SSG games on the computer, I remember Reach for the Stars was a classic on the commodore

Think my favorite game was Gary Grisby's Warships, it was interesting tactical simulation.

Bestest computer ever! I used my C64 until 1996! I was still logging into BBS'es with it to play text based games over the pre-internet phone lines. Good times.
The whole top shelf of my office has old C64 games that I repurchased on Ebay. All the SSI AD&D games, Ultimas, Bards Tales, the list goes on and on. I love the fact that I can emulate these games and I don't have to wait forever for load times.

Similar to me..though take the spectrum out and replace it with an Amstrad CPC464. Also I went from an Amiga 1200 to a my first proper PC with Win 95.

was a BBC, and spectrum 48/128k boy myself, then went onto the Amiga and Atari ST, before moving to DOS, then windows 3.1, and then never came off windows for gaming again

Before the commodore was the apple II. Warp Factor SSI put out many good games back in the day.
Who can forget Leisure Suit Larry.

I go back to epically great games like MULE, One onOne, Archon, anything Microprose or SSI, Carriers at War, Ultima 1-4 (including our U4 Quest of the Amazon total conversion mod - back in the mid 80s), Karateka, Raid on Bungeling Bay, Drool, Möbius, Omega (the tank building and programming game) and many more. Those were great times with a great system of that decade.
I remember Archon (great Game) and Utima IV, one of the best RPG I've played...
Who remember "Computer Ambush!" by SSI? A We-Go (sic!) tactical game in 1985!!!
