Is there an active forum somewhere on SC2 where players chew the fat and/or arrange games?
EDIT: Don't worry I found it.

Yes at Battlefront.com In fact they were organizing a tournament a few months ago. You'd be amazed how terrifyingly good some of tge opponents are. FOW with a human opponent is an amazing experiencr. I stopped because it was too addictive

. There was an opponents wanted section there.

And at the risk of beating an excessively dead horse, will there be stacking?
You should be able to fit a lot of ground units into a twenty mile hex.

Can anyone offer any advice or insight in to the most popular use or not of the 'Retreat' optional rule?
I have an opponent but neither of us are sure what is best in relation to this 'Retreat' option.

Most activity around SC2, if it is still going on, would be at battlefront forums. My memory is that retreat option was typically used.
I would read AARs at thise forums too. Will teach you alot.

Is there a way to pause the replay?

For anyone else who might need this answer, it's the pause button on your keyboard. Thanks to Hubert over at the battlefront forum.

All this time, and I didn't know that. Thanks.

I don't think you are alone, the battlefront post had 25 or so lookers before Hubert answered it.
EDIT: Reason is my 4yo son invariably comes to me with some question just as I hit 'yes' to replay, by the time I look up at the screen again it says 'replay complete' [:@]
Problem solved [:)]

I took the liberty of adding this information into the "
Information for New Players"-thread.
Thanks for asking and sharing, Michael T!

hehe I got it for the European WWII scenario [:D]
That's why I origianlly got it. Best WWII scenario of the series, IMHO.
What do you like better about this one as opposed to SOE Fast Play? (assuming you have that too)

Having a ton of fun with SC2 SOE. If SC3 can even only approach the sophistication of TOF/TOW but with ongoing support and bug free play then my WWII Strategic Level game itch will be scratched. Bring on SC3 with hexes and some stacking hopefully.

Sorry for the thread necro, but can anyone confirm that SC3 will have a replay feature for multiplayer? Thanks.
