I have always felt that one of the best qualities about EiA was that you had the potential to change what really happened. In my opinion EiA would become boring pretty fast if the allies were always the same.
EiA has the potential for any one of the powers to expand its boarders, strengthen its economy, build a bigger army and/or navy and create your own alliances as you, the ruler, sees fit. What more fun could you ask for if you like these types of games, games that you can very the outcome each time you play.
EiA an economic, diplomatic, strategic and tactical (on a grand scale) game that is set in the Napoleonic period so military models and their limitations are geared for that time period. What fun!
