Hi folks,

I know there are a lot of skilled people here and I would be very interested to know if anybody has an answer to dlazovs question...
I looked in the manual but not much regarding reducing the size of maps.

I'm also looking for a way to customize the size of a map as dlazov asked (10 x 33 or any size for that matter). Does CatLord or anybody else know how to do this?

Thanks!

No, the only way I know is by using one of the pre-arranged smaller map :( . I, for sure, would also like to know :) .

You can use Fred Chlandas WaWMap Editor to resize maps. Open the "Inspection Window" and enter map size into the appropiate data box. Hit "Retain" button, done! Save map.
I think there“re some minimum map size to get it working! A map 10 hexes wide is probably too small!;)

Thank you!

Thank you RockinHarry, you rock!!! :D

I knew somebody had the answer. I've tried to do like that before but didn't get it to work. Now I understand it, the map size don't show until the map is saved or changed.

Again, Thanks! :)

Thanks for the tips and the files. I will have to figure out the bitmap stuff you mention.
There is a step by step "how to use WaWMap" instructions with example here:

if you read French :D

Still interesting! the tutorial covers some nice but less used feature of Freds WaWMap! Non french speakers (incl me) can read in Freds Help and TXT files that are included with the program. :D

You can do some fun things with Chlanda's map editor.

I routinely cut a small section from a larger map and save it.

The other day, I pasted 3 100x80 maps together into one of the 240x80 just to see how it would work. It worked.

It is also possible to "lift" something like a city you worked very hard to create and "plant" it into a larger map.

A bit tricky at first but with practice................
