No problem downloading or using FileZilla

Installed Beta -V1.00.06 with no problems

I downloaded using 1.08. Does it matter? Seems to be the newest. [&:]

I'm really having a problem trying to download version 1.08. I have done everything required in FileZilla, but it's just not downloading like before. And now, I've tried so many times it's timed me out.

Suggestions ... comments?

there has been a server down today, well this morning my time, so could be this?

not sure at yet if online games and server / ftp is fully working as had no reply from a pm as yet i've sent on it / about it etc

Definitely download the latest which would be v1.08

I have been trying for days to download version 1.08 with no success. FileZilla keeps telling me transfer failed. I had no trouble with the other 2 downloads.

Yes. I'm currently in the process of uninstalling FileZilla and reinstalling. I think that last update from Zilla screwed things up, but then again I'm not IT wiz. I'll see if it helps.

So, this is what I'm getting from FileZilla:

Status: Connected
Status: Retrieving directory listing...
Status: Directory listing of "/" successful

Server/local File
C:\Users\ ... /StrategicCommand-Setup ... Normal ... cannot start transfer.

Status: Starting download of /StrategicCommand-SetupBeta-v10008.exe
Error: Failed to open "C:\Users\StrategicCommand-SetupBeta-v10008.exe" for writing
Error: File transfer failed

Could please check to make sure I'm not timed-out indefinitely from the server?

Successfully downloading now, but not through FileZilla.

ok, ive downloaded the ftp and connected to the host...what now??

Its a pain in the ass, eh ?

Right click the 1.08 file and save it the desktop, then you can double click it so that it install.

I simply clicked on your FTP link, plugged in the login and password and it downloaded without a hitch. I'm not really sure why FileZilla was giving me a problem. Anyway, it's all good.

You should have your serial number from the e-mail you received accepting you to the beta test

I have access to the beta forum but did not receive an email with the serial number.

This is because the next round of beta testing has not started yet (we've been setting up forum permissions etc. in advance)

We hope to start the next round with a new version of Strategic Command at the end of this week and emails + serial numbers will be sent then

OH boy, FTP clients. That brings back memories. Are those still a thing? I haven't used one since I was in university back in '99-02.
Going to try downloading through the browser first. Hopefully it works out OK.

Dont use ftp software, just right click on the link and DL the .zip or .exe file manually or use IDM far easier
