Quick update:
Troxean Confederacy part 1-27 had been published, with part 28 scheduled for tomorrow.
The game actually crashed on me at the end of part 27. It had been so stable that I had turned off the autosave, so I had to replay over 90 minutes of the game so that I can pick up on it again in part 28.

Quick update:
Troxean Confederacy part 1-37 had been published.
There was a suggestion to use automated colony tax, and I'm looking forward to see how that work for a pirate faction.

It seems to be helping. Since I'm scraping for any pennies I can get, having the AI adjusting the tax rate should improve the income from my own colonies.
However, since I am running at such high deficits, my only real source of income is from selling mining stations to the empires.

Troxean Confederacy part 1-62 had been published.
I'm pausing the series for a bit while
filing a bug report and re-thinking my strategies. I'll pick it back up again in a little while.
