What a great interview. Good questions presented and Mr. Heath was very candid in his responses. I joined the forum with my initial account right before Uncommon Valor was released (2003?)and always have fond memories of Matrix at that time. It was really special imo and I am glad to have been there during it. While things change, some for the better, others not, I do give the current company much credit for continuing to be very customer friendly, accessible, and committed.

Great interview. Always good to read about the people behind the scenes. Feels like it was only yesterday that I was downloading Steel Panthers over a 56k modem. Been a fan of Matrix Games since the inception. I also am starting to get into board games so it's great to see him at the helm of Lock'N'Load.

I have been curious for a long time about why the company was sold, and changed, and the interview explained everything.

As you'd probably expect, the entire story has more to it that will probably never be printed, but it's true that Dave's health and his family's health had a lot to do with the merger. We all have our personal lives behind the scenes and unfortunately it's the nature of small business and small development teams that they can have a greater effect than is sometimes discussed.

It's good to see the response from customers who have been with us from the start. While there aren't many of the original folks left (I guess that's true at most companies after that length of time) I still can't believe it's been 17 years. I recently celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary and that was hard to believe as well!

Actually, My wife and I will soon be celebrating our 25th. That is also very hard to believe.

I am very glad that you still with Matrix.

So there is more to the story that we will never know. So be it. At least we know a lot more than we did. And Matrix is in very good hands, from what i can see.
