what version of windows are you running? and is it a foreign character version of windows of XP?, if you're using XP? Also, what kind of computer are you running this on? A Laptop? or a Desktop?

ok, what error are you getting exactly? can you take a picture of it? and are you running the game from Steam? or via desktop shortcut?

Thanks.. can you tell me what video card you are using? and if the the video card has a control panel? like Nvida? or AMD? Also, do you have directx installed on the machine? Here is the link to download it: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... 35&nowin10. Make sure this installs correctly.

One thing you can do is the following:

1) Go to this directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Command Modern Air Naval Operations\_CommonRedist
2) Make sure you install each of the items in this directory DOTNET, DirectX and C++ Redist.
3) Restart your machine
4) Try again to start the game

Also, if you have a weird video card, it may need updated drivers.. not sure? But maybe you can answer above.

i iam playing alots of game at highest graphic quality and i think this game is very easy to run.
i dont get this error.

I had this same thing happen on my laptop it was because the updates were screwed up. You have to do 1.09 then 1.10 followed by 1.11.

He is on steam and will probably need more detailed instructions.

Steam should handle all the updating itself.

Could any files have been left when you uninstalled it (before you installed it again)?

When you uninstall it (using Steam), are there any files left in F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Command Modern Air Naval Operations ?

If there are, delete them, so there's nothing at all left, and then re-download.

Also, on this user's computer, Steam is right on the F: drive. Normally it is in the 'Program Files' folder on the drive. It not being in 'Program Files' couldn't affect CMANO 'looking' for files, could it?

My suggestion would be to do what Molerat indicates.. Go to Steam, and delete the local content for the game and reinstall. can you do this?

The drive should have no effect...should. My steam folder is on my E: drive.

thnx but how can i find earlier version of the game..yup i reinstall the game 2 times and nothing happen after install again i see that error..so how can i find that verison 1.09?

Have you downloaded any sceanrios from the workshop or this forum?

Shahin, I suggest you write Steam support and figure out what's going on.. We have tried everything and I have no idea what to do without looking at your machine directly. sadly, we can't do this.. but it might be a steam problem? I'm not sure.. but I suggest you write them for support.

I think there are a number of things to look at before fighting through Steam. Post in this forum's tech forum and someone from Matrix can look at it. You can see that the devs have started down that path but the guy didn't really cooperate. Moving to tech is the best option.
