Time to head to work. I'll detail the conversions allowed for each of these class when I come home.

The Niitaka-Class grows to over 15,000 tonnes and carries 4x3 8" guns, heavy torpedo armament, impressive secondaries, and strong floatplane complements. These fast, rugged cruisers are planned to be a six ship class. The initial two are complete at war's start, a second pair coming in late-1942, and a final pair in 1944.
Need to add an option for an upgrade path that removes the TT and maybe reduce the number of FPs, but adds more AA so they can be a great CV escort.

In BTS Lite you get two more Shokaku Class and THEN 4 of the Shokaku-kai Class, not 6 of the Shokaku-kai as you said earlier.

Patrol Planes - We will need to discuss adding more Mavis/Emily groups to RA and BTS when you redo these mods. I'm struggling to keep the few groups I have in BTS Lite flying. [:(] I really miss have all those PBYs groups keeping an eye on Japan.
Going with your basis premise, Japan needs to be able to find the Allied fleet in order to destroy it. In my latest version of BTSL, I added two more groups (one in mid-42 and another in mid-43), but that isn't enough. [8|]

Carriers
CLV Conversion
The two American CLVs convert over to CVL very quickly:

Carriers
Commonwealth Conversions from CAV
The Commonwealth conversions are VERY good! If you think about this some, it also means that New Zealand and Australia have a limited amount of carrier aircraft now in the game:

Capital Ships
Constitution-Class
The Treaties cut both ways. If Japan get ONE then the Allies EACH get 1.6.
In this case the Japanese get to build the LOVELY Ishitaka but in return the American build TWO Constitution-Class BC. May I present the Ranger and Constellation:
These fast battlecruisers make for magnificent CV escorts OR may be used for far more dangerous purposes. LOTS of room from AA Guns. They form the core of the pre-war Scouting Force.

Allied Cruisers
The Allies gain a great amount with the Treaty changes. In the case of cruisers the Americans gain two more CAs (Rome and Burlington) as well as a pair of modern CLs. These are added to the Dec 7th OOB. The Asiatic Fleet is reinforced with an additional CA, CL, and 4 more modern DDs. The Reinforcement TFs that start the war at sea are also reinforced. The Allies will find quite a few more ships to rely upon as the Japanese open the war. The Aussies and NZ fleets gain a few DDs to help provide escort to their CAVs. Aussieland even gains a pair of old Brit SS (Didgereedoo and Boomerang).
Bases are have begun to be strengthened at Pago Pago, Wake, and Reinforcement TFs have been formed to help Port Moresby as well as the DEI.
While not being a HUGE addition to the Allied OOB these ships CAN be used to form much stronger TFs to fight the opening months of the Japanese offensive.
CVEs and the Old Ones

Carriers
CVEs and Experimentals
As mentioned earlier, the Japanese gain the ability to convert up to about 8 APs to CVEs if so desired.
The Allies also gain the opportunity to immediately convert any Tangier-Class AV, the Kittyhawk-Class, and some of the oilers. These allowances bring about 12 more CVEs into the fight in 1942. It is the Allied players choice.
The FIRST Carriers are also expanded from one to two. The Langely is joined by the Ely. These two ships start in the Philippines and are quite helpful in their Seaplane Tender configuration. The Japanese build Hosho and Ibuki for their first CVs.
There are simply LOTS of old and new toys for the two sides to enjoy and play with...
This pretty much ends the Added Ships section of the Mods.
Next up shall be LCU additions for the Japanese.

Cool. You should include pics of the ship art with the pics of the editor stats. Just a thought to whet our appetites more.
