No penalty as ToS is computing like this : jump back -> jump down. DFA is performed as jump down, same as jump for -> jump down. I don't think its woth the hassle which would force me to compute from which direction the jump down was performed.
Not saying it isn't a good idea, saying I have bigger tasks on my list.

Butt...you move first,then stop in mid-air,and then jump down. And if there happens to be a locked titan standing around in the hex you jump down to you get the opportunity to preform DfA.
My point is you DfA just before you land,not while moving forwards/backwards.
