I just want to remind to General Rbrunsman that I defeat Red
See you soon in round 2.
You can lose this one if you are too much afraid :D

P.S. I send to RED message that I want to play against you next round.

Stacking the deck, eh? I say you have to reach me fair and square (i.e. at random) like everyone else does.:p

This battle is going very slowly. We are only on turn 6, IIRC.

Now I'm starting to get to some real tanks. This turn, I took out 2 OT-134 flametanks, a KV-1, and a T-28. I also got a 76mm AT Gun, a 12.7mm HMG, a Gaz quad AA truck and a Partisan squad. I tried to take out 2 of my favorite targets, BA-10s, but they proved rather difficult to hit.

All this damage was caused because I pushed more than I have been, so we will see if Rob has something up his sleeve to unleash on me.

RobW, I don't mean to be rude, but you need to crank out more turns than 4 per week if we're going to finish this game before April.

There are movements in the south. A massed formation of armoured cars and halftracks is beginning to probe. In the center and north the enemy is not in sight but I am sure he is there.

Well, this turn it was open season on the BA-10s (how many of those things do you have? ) and OT-134s. I bagged 3 of each of those.

I also got an adventurous KV-2 from long range with an 88.:)

Also, I got a T-28m34. I don't like those myself because they are so lightly armored (20mm all around), but damned if those things aren't proving to be the hardest to take out. I'm wasting all my Sdkfz 222s trying to waste those things instead of scouting as they should be doing.

Turn made, I can see which way this engagement is heading - RB we can play til the 21st then decide who is the winner (guess one of us will have to surrender to find out).

My units are so ineffectual it is impossible for me to do much this turn. In the south I manage to kill 1 crewman and force 1 motorcycle unit to withdraw - that is the sum total of ALL the action I get in this turn.

I got 4 more BA-10s. That makes 21 I've killed so far! They're like cockroaches! One of them even gave me a hard time and took out a kugelwagen and an Sdkfz 222 before it died by a rifle grenade. That one was even immobilzed when the turn started. I have the worst time with immobilized vehicles. And there are still at least 2 immobilized T-34s I have to take out.

I also took out about a platoon's worth of Motorized Infantry.

I also took out a T-28 that was trying to retreat, a 76mm AT Gun and a Partisan squad.

I'm making a big push in the South and have captured my first VHs. The Russians have had all VHs since turn 2.

In the south I have managed to retake 2 of the vhexes but I can see is forces will probably overwhelm me this trun. IN the center not a lot happens but I know there are ate least 3 panzers lurking in the area. IN the north I finally manage to do something worthwhile and take out 3 out of 4 self propelled guns with a push by some brave tankers.

I'm pressing on all fronts now, with the strongest push in the south. The north is well protected by KV-1m40(1A)s. Those are tough tanks!

I got a T-34 with a Sdkfz 250/9 and a KV-1m39 with my 88. I also got bunches of infantry of various types. There are still plenty of T-34s about and I'm seeing infantry all over the place.

For once, I didn't see any more BA-10s. :)

Please turn FAST Arty Off. I didn't get to see my bombardment in the replay.

x3 KV-2
x7 T-34m41
x5 Zis-5 truck
x3 T-28m34

hey, you know my force better than me!!!!!! think it was very close - maybe 1 or 2 that weren't correct

My forces are in serious disarray in the south. In the center the smoke barrage unleashed by him means I can expect an attack any time now. In the north I succeed in taking out an imobbilized self propelled gun and a couple of sdkf-222's

What are the world cup rules on reinforcements? are they allowwed?

Posted: Thu Mar 13, 2003 9:54 pm
by rbrunsman
Reinforcements are allowed. We didn't discuss this, but I prefer to have them start to arrive half way through the battle. That prevents people from calling them early to get the overwhelming point advanvtage. I think we are about halfway now so you could start calling them if you want to.

Usually reinforcements take about 4 turns to arrive, so in a 20 turn battle, you can start to request them at turn 6. If they arrive earlier (it happens sometimes), just have them linger in the backfield until the halfway turn, before bringing them into the battle.

I laid a serious hurtin' on the Russians in the south. I killed many infantry squads and 3 T-34s, plus one immobilized. The other one I could see was routed, so I didn't shoot at it.

I also got a KV-1m39 with an 88 and I got a really lucky shot on a KV-1m40(1A) from a Sdkfz 222 which immobilized it.

I've broken through in the south and it is now open season on arty parks. If I can just locate them before reinforcements arrive.

Dang it! I forgot to attach it. I generally email the game files to my opponent instead of posting them here. Sorry.

Note to self: Post game files.:o
