The Eastern front in the North:


Lwow was captured and I'm pushing to take Minsk. I also brought up some more airpower (transferred from England) to help with taking Kaunas.

Here's the reports after ending the turn and advancing to the AI's October 4th, 1941 turn:


I'm happy with the 87 Allied MPPs sent to the bottom of the Atlantic, but the transfer of the US Pacific fleet to the Atlantic has got me worried. [:(]

I will need to get the Regia Marina out into the Atlantic ASAP to help out the Kriegsmarine. I should mention that I went for the Graf Zeppelin CV option and the Italian Aquila CV.

I almost forgot...here's the September 16, 1941 situation in Egypt:


I'm hoping to get Cairo next turn...[:D]

I'm also really really really hoping to get Spain to join the Axis but I'm having trouble moving her along with diplomatic pressure.
She is now at 59% pro-Axis with the maximum number of invested German and Italian chits (3 apiece for a total of 6) giving a 30% chance of moving her every turn, but she hasn't budged for quite awhile now.
My worry is that the Allies are countering my diplomatic efforts and so Spain may never join the Axis. [:(]

May 30, 1942 (I won't be posting every turn from this point on...):

Things are actually going better than I expected in East:


My plan is to concentrate mostly in the center (for now) towards Smolensk while trying to secure Riga and attain a position along the Daugava river to link up with a captured Smolensk.

Progress is a bit slower in the South...but the Axis forces are holding their own.

May 30, 1942:

The Battle rages on in Northern England but the Wehrmacht's panzers have run out of gas! [:(]

I need another HQ unit to help out with the supply situation -- which is pretty bad this far up in England.

The sea battle with the US fleet has begun! I managed to sink a US CVL and BB, and have trapped a heavily damaged CA in the Bristol Channel.


I am sending the Italian and Spanish navy to join the Kriegsmarine in the Battles to come!

I got a little tired of the Russian navy intercepting my convoys from Sweden so I dispatched it's Baltic forces with a little Baltic fleet of my own.
I was able to sink 1 BB, 1 CL, and 1 SS. [:D]

Fast forward to June 2, 1943.

I have taken all of England and are now dealing with US forces trying to amphibiously invade England.
I managed to intercept a good part of the first few waves of invasion forces (including the Eisenhower HQ unit!) at sea, but a few of the more advanced AVLs did make it through but are being easily dealt with by troops I have left to cover England from invasion.

The going is tough on the East front but I am slowly making gains towards Riga, Smolensk, and consolidating the area surrounding Odessa (with the help of Spanish forces) in the South.

The front facing Kiev has stalled.
