I downloaded the .03 beta. Paratroops are screwed - get a seg violation when I try to land them.

Well spotted, we did upload v1.01.03 but didn't announce it as we wanted to discuss the "cannot find 7285.dat" some users reported
with Hubert first.
A rather poor explanation it that this is an issue when playing PBEM on multiple PCs and the version changes and they get symc.
Not easy to address in a fall proof way but we're looking at it

In the meantime please go ahead and try v1.01.03 (although note there is a potential issue with paratroops we are looking into)

Do you have a save game for this or can you send Hubert The contents of the ERROR folder that is generated in your
Users\<your name>\My Documents\My Games\Strategic Command - WWII War in Europe\ERROR folder?

Can you confirm this and ensure you didn't accidentally press the PBEM++ Online instead?

Here is what I see when the game first opens:

When I mouse-over the Pbem line it changes to Hotseat (as seen below) but when I click it, it switches back to Pbem. I installed 1.02 over 1.01, and 1.03 over 1.02. Should I have deleted the originals before installing either or both ?

You do not need to uninstall previous versions.
That is a very peculiar issue, not sure how it can be happening at this point

That is very odd indeed, what resolution are you playing at?

1280 x 1024

Sweet ! Thanks so much Hubert. I love the Hotseat for running tests. I'm probably the only one using it, but 1280 really is a nice resolution, but I also don't have a smartphone, a laptop, a wireless mouse or keyboard, and I've got long hippy hair [:)]
