The weight of the Japanese attack is centred in the north.

It looks like, despite the best efforts of Adolf Hitler to find peace, we have war in Europe once more
Neville Chamberlain and Edouard Daladier should hang their collective heads in shame - if only they had really wanted peace like the Fuhrer, surely a deal could have been struck?
War is declared by Germany on Poland (although the Poles were at fault obvs). No alignments.
Germany: Land
Italy: Combined
Japan: Land
- Port Attack: None
- Naval Air: An experimental fighter unit - flying the untested He-112 - is ordered to fly to the North Sea.
- Naval Movement: None
- Strategic Bombing: None
- Ground Strikes:
Germany
Two Stuka formations are ordered to attack key Polish urban areas; Warsaw and Lodz.
Japan
Two Japanese bombers are ordered to assist the army against the defenders of Chengchow.
Well that took for ^&*%ing ever. What was wrong with Paint FFS???? [:@]

Ground Strike (Cont):
Germany
The attack on Lodz was not carried out with sufficient vigour, but the attack on Warsaw was just what Goering ordered.
Apologies for the sub-optimal quality.....

Impulse: 1 (Axis)
Ground Strike (Cont):
Japan
The Japanese bomber attack begin poorly thanks to a thick early morning fog. However, this soon clears and both bomber groups soon find their range.

Sep/Oct 1939
Impulse: 1 (Axis)
Rail Movement: None
Land Movement: The Japanese begin Operation Yellow, named after the great river that the attack is intended to drive parallel to. For this operation General Umezu commands an Army Group containing:
6th Army
11th Army
12th Army (reinforced by the 2nd Infantry Division)
20th Army
25th Army
28th Garrison Army
Plus supporting AT and ART divisions
Over to AllenK for the German movement.

The Germans move up on Warsaw and Lodz. An INF overruns the ports of Gdynia and Danzig. Polish CP's flee to the UK as the Germans decline to intercept (8 rolled for the overrun. I put them at Newcastle). Polish CA's are scuttled (2 rolled).

Four combats are declared. Odds after ground support is factored in.
Edit: Do the Allies wish to go Assault for all?

For the first attack on 52,44 I'll assume assault.
It achieves its objective but the defence renders the attacking units unfit for further combat without HQ intervention.

To move things on, I'll assume Assault for the remainder.
Next up, Lodz.
The attack goes well.

The attack at Warsaw scrapes through but the attackers are again unfit for further action.

In China, the pattern repeats itself with the attack succeeding but attacking units disorganised.
The Shatter is converted to Retreat as the retreating units haven't got a hex to retreat to and will be destroyed.
Edit: The Japanese occupation of the city attracts some passing comment in the US but is quickly forgotten (6 rolled).

Ju-52 reorganises an ARM at Warsaw.
Von Beck reorganises an ARM and 2 MOT.
Umezu reorganises 3 INF south of the river.
Over to the Allies.
