I am in the UK so GMT time applies to me

No I can still happily play the middle man of team manager no problem as I said I will have my PC so I will be popping in to check up anyways etc and sending messages only takes a minute or two so that is absolutely fine

Ok well if you get save file within the next 16 hours that is great and I should be able to sort it out before I leave if not it's not the end of the world. I will let you guys sort your turns first and then catch up probably on Friday/Saturday at an absolute worst case scenario if that is ok with yous guys?

Yes I see the dropbox file :)

Thanks!

One thing to be clear (as a professor plagerism is bad) Our fearless leader has a well thought out plan (the pictures). I am executing a derivative I think I can execute (and not be executed;) ) Godspeed ..

I have no plans to take Riga turn 1 (Follow up inf to take likely XXVI Corps)
Interesting.

Do not taunt us like that!

Taunt? That wasn't a taunt. Was my way of saying I like it :) keep up the exchange I like this so far :)

Guys, You need to let me know if you want me to rearrange airgroups for you at the start of leave them to you. If the former I will also need a bit more time at the start when the game file arrives. So it could be rushed to get it in early tomorrow.

Also while it is good to be quick, and turnaround times is something we will have to work on, it is not unreasonable to take a bit longer on turn 1.

I am GMT, is the whole team in a European time zone? Not sure where the Soviet Supreme is.

I sent a PM -- but I think an answer on the forum describing what "reconfiguring airgroups" means. I have read Pelton's shot story for "absolute German victory" but I do not remember a discussion on air group configuration specifically.
Just as a note .. I find all GG games to depend on some detail to gain an advantage over a player that does not understand or does not use the detail to the fullest. Thus .. I know what I do not know .. :)

Even your agreements sound sinister! [:D]

I have seen many debates on this. I think I tend to the bypass Riga on turn 1 school. Philosophically I do not like the idea of Panzers doing street fighting anyway. If you do go for it you probably need to assign SUs to your divisions. And there is a real probability they will fail - which means you need a plan B e.g. a motorised to get to coast West of Riga. And if you are keeping a motorised for that, why not have that as your plan A and get the panzers closer to Leningrad on turn 1! Also Riga even when repaired cannot give port supply until the Baltic islands are cleared. My two cents anyway.

I am finding that with Jg I and pioneers as SU and the HQ there to devote art .. 66% probability of success. N=6 with this configuration. That means twice Riga held and I lost PZ IIs ...that might be better to run over NKVD .. [;)]
The Infantry supported with pioneers and art have not failed ... Y
The price .. The Soviets get to ship in stuff .. more to destroy ..

Yeah Crackaces PM'd me with his plan in more detail and I must say I am in full agreement with his decision as if the enemy decides to plop a massive wall in Pskov it helps us counter that with less risk and plan B's like telemecus said (Thanks to you Hardluck everyone is doing that now myself included in one game)

Whatever the outcome I am sure we will all learn from it anyawys :)

Yes that seems absolutely fine bud.

I shall attempt to recreate the four pockets, get as close to Minsk as possible hopefully hexes (x68 y58) & (x59 y56) if possible & trudge all available forces eastward as far as I possibly can with the forces given while keepin RHG to hold my west

II with good infantry moves with no combats past Kaunas after your go - but I have to recheck if this is North's plan from earlier post

That is my plan .. to have an Inf Corps past Kaunus ...
The big objective is to clear the Russkies from the two rail lines at least 6 hexes deep from the border .. and get I Corps as deep as possible as I diagramed that should form a Courtland pocket in the center
