Grim AWNT tries it's best to do as good a job as we can possibly do. Please remember we aren't a professional site nor trained in journalism, we are gamers and military history nuts who want to create a website with wide ranging content, but content we at AWNT are into.

We also listen to our readers and will happily take on board all comments that will go towards enhancing our reviews.

We hope you stick with us. All the team have different reviewing styles but we all try to do our best. We are learning along the way which hopefully will mean the website will keep on improving

Thanks...but personally not interested in a comparison between the 1st version and the new version...was more hoping for details on how this specific version plays. For example, how solid is the AI? What does it do well and not so well? Do results seem believable? How long does a game take? If I am not mistaken this has campaign features....how good are they? How do they work? etc. I know what the marketing material has said, just curious from actual players that have played it.

I would like to know if a phalanx thrust tilted at 45 ° can pierce a
Lorica segmentata and if the Romans are reinforced helmets after the war against the Dacians?

If only Norbsoft would go down this path of ancient gaming. His combat engine would be the beall endall of ancient wargaming. Either his or command ops. Spartan comes very close as I like to command more than move a thousand pieces around the maps like some f these monster games.

As far as AWNT, no worries. No one else is doing anything review-wise who really knows the business.

And yes, Norbsoft ancients would be great

Are you saying you like AWNT and we do an alright job compared to most? Or that all review websites inc AWNT are useless?😀

games released tomorrow, and i think many will be surprised how good it is, not only in looks, but play ability, the amount of detail, armies and stuff in this even without the book (manual) which can be bought as an extra as thick as my leg, will be a A class title and well worth the price what ever it is on the day.

No offense to anyone, I think FOG II is the best ancients tactical game I have played.

Well,I kinda have to differ with you there. We've all been down the hype road before and this game will be no different there til we actually try it out for free for 2 hours tomorrow.

As for it being worth any price I have to differ there as well. It has to be a game that is good within the price range of a game of that calibur. It's no MWIF without an AI for sure. I certainly wouldn't pay $100 for it either. I have my price range and I guess you don't have one.

I'll buy 2 copies and you pay me double what I paid since price doesn't seem to matter. [:'(]

was meant imo it could be priced around the normal cost of high end games here, in the same type etc eg £24.99 to £32.99 price range etc but if it's £36.99, i'd still pay it.

i'm no good with Dollars either, so no i also wouldn't pay $100 for it (75.70 British Pound) as i don't pay high end prices for games unless it makes my tea for me and also brings me cake[:D]
