Opinions are like belly buttons. Everyone has one. TOAW is an old game and to change it to suit your needs would require rewriting the entire thing. Now, if you had the money and hired the right people you could most certainly have designed for you a game that worked to your specifications. I have no idea how much that would cost or if you could recoup your monies. But it might be worth a try. It's because people are willing to invest in something different that new games are developed.

I admit it might take a bit of getting used to, if you want to be an efficient "min-maxer" in the game, but I have found TOAW's turn time system to result in a more natural flow than a simple IGOUGO system, especially after the changes made in TOAWIV.
