Yes. I'am bad at managing the air force, but putting a AA regiment in each army do not really need skill, so i think my data relative to flak looses are quite reliable.
(My data relative to air to air looses may be not due to bad air force management).

You don't need optics to fire AA gun.

Concerning this specifical fight, you were facing one of my best fighter unit with morale and experience close to 99. and as you know, morale is the key in WITE.
And if I remind well, russian aircraft production at this stage of the war is close to 600 per week. So losing 500 aircraft isn't such an issue.
On the other side, if my national morale had been left to 75 instead of 67 now, I would still be on the offensive.
I wonder why german morale is decreasing despite such success on the eastern front [;)]

There is optics involved, but what usually people mean by bad Soviet optics - bad glass quality - has no impact on combat performance here. (Bad Soviet optics is mainly tank semi-myth, but that is different topic.)

During the early part of the war the British cover story for radar was that the Royal Observer Corps were being fed extra carrots!
