German Turn 5 - End of Close Combat Segment (image taken in Admin Segment of US Turn 6)

The few unbroken German units attempt to attack the US-held VP hexes, but are easily repulsed by a series of low-FP, negative DRM defensive fires.

The 81mm mortar crew is eliminated during the American Defensive Fire segment.

The only remaining "threat" is the 2nd Line squad in the trench adjacent to 7,7, but it wisely choses not to enter CC.

American Turn 6 - End of Advance Segment

In the Fire Segment, fire from the B* and his squad breaks the adjacent 2nd line squad.

The two squads adjacent to the 81mm mortar move into 7,7 and the one that was there advances over the cliff. The American squad adjacent to the 4,4 VP hex advances into the trench.

Several broken German units are lost because they were in LOS and normal range of US units.

This nice, little, fast-playing scenario ends here with an American Major victory.

Scenario outcome: the human/AI loss ratio was unusually high (6/10, 6/13 counting crews as HS), instead of the customary 5+:1.

This is presumably due to the short ranges involved (which limited the effect of the AI inability to fire at long range) and to the short time available to the American player to take his objectives (which forces him to take some risks).
