1) Is this the right structure?

Or should it be a subfolder of "Heroes and Leaders mod Scenarios 3.1 20190322" that is directly in the MODS folder?

2) How do you create a mod of the Original. I thought you just had to add/remove mods.

i never posted image so here goes.

mine looks like this. with "MODS" in main folder. MODS looks like below if i did it right. otherwise

so i run JSGME from main lock n load folder

i then pick Dark July-mod from left side and move it to right. i only have 1 mod active at any one time. don't know if this is correct but it works.

This is normal, I had to cut the size of the files so that the mod.zip can fit in the 5 M.o authorized Matrix forum.[:D]

Should I have "Heroes and Leaders mod 20190219" in the MODS folder? Or a subfolder of "Heroes and Leaders mod 20190219" in the MODS folder?

i think the mod is actually nested within

so you want lock n load heroes of stalingrad in mod folder.

Thanks. Problem then is I cannot get the new scenario for AE module. When I download the mod for scenarios the folder that has the mod is the same name (Lock n Load Heroes of Stalingrad) as the mod name in the download for the core game (asl3d's core game).
