Btw, the Karlgerat, of which 6 were built, 4 of 60cm and 2 of 42cm, were named after General of Artillery Karl Becker, who worked on their design.

Wow wish I could have seen this when you first posted it, one I actualy knew the answer to for a change.
the ol Karl is really cool looking in SS2 by the way. Now dont flame me for mentioning an RTS game guys!

Aaahhhggh! The guy I got the link from posted abpout it already! <G> Sat up 'til 2 AM last night leeching all the video off panzerlexikon... too bad it's all silent. <sigh> Wonder if there's an authentic sound-file out there somewhere for that 380mm rocket-gun on the Sturmtiger? It certainly left an impressive *visual* signature.
And how many people watched the Goliath clip and thought, "Ahhh, Hans und Fritz are really enjoying their new Christmas present..." ?
