oh my sorry i missed this thread but i cannot pass up the chance to also give a cheers to Frank Hunter - your game design is sublime in that it is concise but not simplistic, and unique and has an inner logic to it - Campaigns on the Danube is without equal in the area of operational level napoleonics. Campaigns on the Elbe i am still hoping will see the light of day

Bumping up this thread, to join my voice in praise of Frank Hunter’s games.

I would be very pleased indeed if you would make a redo of your ACW game.

Regards

I remember sitting at my grandfather's house in 1996 playing ACW as a kid and I managed to find a version of it recently that brought back all the joy and nostalgia of the game almost 30 years later. Call me old-fashioned but this game beats the heck out of modern games where the focus is all on graphics and less on playability. Thank you for this game, Frank!

I do have a question for anyone still playing ACW on Windows 10.... I can get the v2.66 game to run but the editor is dead in the water and won't launch. Tried seeing if I could run it in ScrummVM (my kids use it for the old Backyard Baseball games) but that isn't working either. Anyone have any pointers or fixes to try for getting the ACW Editor to run?

Is it 16 bits?

Seems to work installing this first.
