Hey, Ktonos... you have been so kind in our game with your tutilage... if you need another player I'll take the missing spot to keep all your work in setting the tourney up, going... if needed... as thanks for your fine sportsmanship and wisdom. Some players don't even respond to messages. But, you're among the handful of good guys I've played so far. If someone else is willing to take the mantle that's even better. I'm not very fond my play in this game yet, so I don't deem myself ready for the big league, so let me be a last-ditch option. But, I am here as a deadman switch option.

Regarding the tourney, unfortunately the format I chose is proving quite rigid. A drop out from Everasmargo would mean that Gilber ought to play to the 1st league and you taking his place on the lower one, something that would mess things up. And what happens when mid tourney someone else drops?

I am afraid this is done for, it was my mistake to be so ambitious with the format.

Maybe a much simpler format where we gather a pool of players and play knockout games would be much more practical, with the knockout pairs being drafted with the same system - 1st player choose an opponent from the list, opponent chooses side, 2nd does the same and so on. Winnners proceed to next round where the same procedure provides us with pairs until in the end we have a final game. That would be more practical.

Still waiting for Mr.Nnason to start our game. Is Elveranomaslargo out already? We even didn´t start yet. Can I start another game with another player of the league?

Noah (Nnason) has already declared he will start with a delay, which isn't an issue. I have played thrice with him and when he is available he compensates with turns for the periods he is away. I think Elverano must be out. I propose we either cancel, or transform the tourney to the simpler structure I suggested.

I'm happy with whatever you decide. My game with Gilber is well underway (Jul 40).

Ktonos, it is always difficult to make a regulation that provides for all scenarios.
but today there's nothing very serious.
you may already be waiting, maybe Elveranomaslargo will eventually give a sign of life.
and if we don't hear from him, you just have a league with 3 participants and 1 absent. you can play all the games with the 3 participants and you will have a winner.

the difficulty is to find a solution to bring in new players with maybe very different ranking levels.

I too want to see Lion in the games, but that would skyrocket the games in the second group to 8 per player. If it is agreeable by all of you, know that it is ok by me

It maybe would be much more easy to make a knockout tourney to run parallel to this, which probably will attract many more players, as it will involve 1 game at a time. But this should be the initiative of someone else here. Maybe El Condoro who is one of the more active players in the forums could organize it (?)
