Will ground forces be slowed or stalled if they move into combat range of an enemy unit ?
ie: if an inf platoon moves next to an enemy inf platoon will it be halted until the way is clear ? or will it still be able to simply move right past it like now ?

The mechanic you're asking about is "zones of control", and the answer is no.

CMO is still air/naval/joint/strategic focused. There are plenty of excellent tactical-land-first titles out there and we're in no hurry to take their place.
