Same thing as in it fails to start at all, or that you get a Steam Startup Error popup?
Are you running the Steam version? I forget...
You might also try deleting the OPTIONS.TXT file in Documents/My Games/CloseCombatTheBloodyFirst in case it has become corrupted.
Cheers

Same thing fails to start.
I deleted and reinstalled. Since there is no game folder in documents\My Games as I presume it needs to run first to create said folder.
As linked to others have had same issue with other games and found no solution as to why nor able to fix it!

do you run steam as admin?
just a guess tbh,
Also besides running the game as admin, you might also have to run Steam client.
How to Run Steam as Administrator:
- Navigate your Steam installation file (By default, it is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam).
- Right-click the Steam executable.
- Follow the above steps to set it to Run as Administrator.
- Restart Steam.

I am confused. Is this on a different machine to your original playing? You were obviously playing at one point, and this would have created the My Games folder for the game. If this is missing then I am not sure what is happening, but it sounds like an AV or some other app is deleting the files?
What AV are you running? Can you try running the game with it disabled or white-listed.
Cheers

Was playing fine. Then suddenly this started. As I said at first when it worked I never saw the launcher page, went straight into game.
No when trying things out I uninstalled and then re installed. At the same time I deleted the folder in My Games. Since then after reinstalling, that particular folder hasn't come back.
I've tried with AV off.

It sounds like you must have been playing a beta version to not have seen the launcher. Is this correct?
