Matrix asked me to do a PTO. They were very pleased with the success of the game. I was surprised.

I already started making the map.

Congrats! This is wonderful. Well deserved too; Warplan is a good game. So I take it that PTO will be Warplan 2 (ie with an improved engine)?

Of course I do hope that the current Warplan will be as solid as possible before shifting focus to Warplan 2. But I have no real doubt about that, seeing your commitment to it the last few weeks since release. Kudos!

PTO will be same engine with more fixes and features I can't put right now in this one. I have to see how WarPlan Europe plays out.

WarPlan 2 will be corps/army/air group counters where you put in divisions and air wings. But still a simple game to use. I wanted to do that originally but it was too complex to code. I needed a foundation.

I don't take advances. Don't like owing people money or having pressure on me.
