So Japan 45, Japan 46 or Sealion? In a what-if state of mind.

It’s a sale to reward certain loyal forum members but it got out into the wild via Reddit and here we are. Wolfpack is included as I bought it.

Midway is a nail biting game of carrier deck management. Ok its more fun than it sounds. You need to have a CAP above your fleet. Quickly send out search planes. Immediately get dive bombers or torpedo planes spotted on your decks ready to go when the search planes find a target. Once theyre away your in Nagumo's position at Midway. Do you spot your second strike wave or leave your decks clear for the first strike to land?

Thanks. I played the board game decades ago and definitely like the battle. More specifically, does it hold up well? Is it bug-free?

It was when I beta tested it! And JTS games are usually bulletproof functional-wise. Run them on Windows, or run them with Wine on Linux, the game doesnt care.

Looking at the review on The Wargamer from some years back, Midway was mostly good but had some real problems with brain dead fighter behavior.
I've been looking at it also because of this sale, but I don't know how much patching went on and I don't want to waste time with it if there haven't been any improvements.

This is incredible. Only a wargame company would have a sale and not want to tell anyone about it.

That being said I'm glad they are having it and am going to buy Wolfpack and Midway.

It's a pretty good game of tactical carrier combat. One of the cool things is that you can easily (in the editor) create a large entry box for enemy carrier units which means every time you play a scenario you never quite know from where the enemy will be arriving. This gives quite a good degree of re-playability to the scenarios.
