another thing I hate.
bloody old people .
we spend our lives ignoring their advice .
what would they know ?
they sit in a chair hoping their bladder doesn't give way while watching some serial on tv.
we ignore them , every generation repeats the same pattern of ignorance ,
but as middle age creeps in and youth takes a backstep , you start to not dismiss so easily ,
you may even find you are quoting what the old bloke holding his legs together has said .

I don't feel it is a saying just associated with Australia , I imagine many lands have a version .

but the oldies always say , if its not a drought , it`s a flood .

we have had some decent fires over here caused by drought , 2-3 months later many places are now battling floods .

maybe the old bloke is not that silly :)

I am just wondering if all aussie`s moved to the US , Europe or Asia ,
then held a march ,
should those wearing their national colours be removed in case it conflicted with our Australian values ?
pretty sure it wouldn't be tolerated by the US , and it shouldn't be .

President John F Kennedy ordered an aide to buy him as many Cuban cigars as he could just hours before he authorised the U.S. trade embargo - which subsequently made them illegal.

Kennedy asked his head of press and fellow cigar smoker Pierre Salinger to obtain '1,000 Petit Upmanns' on February 6, 1962, so he could have them in his hands before they were deemed contraband.

Then, seconds after he was told the next morning that 1,200 of Cuba's finest export had been bought for him, he signed the decree to ban all of the communist state's products from the U.S.
