Casualties - July 20th, 1941:
The kill ratio is in my favor:
1. around
1:10 for
land units
2. around
1:20 for
air units

Deployment status - July 20th, 1941:
Two additional small corps (
XXXIX infantry corps and
XXVIII infantry corps) are ready for deployment. They will help to secure the rear.

Oil situation - July 20th, 1941:
My
oil stock is currently at
277. My Upkeep is stable and I manage to increase my stock compared to last turn. This is also explained by the fact my Armor and Mechanized units had less combat last turn.

Army Group North - July 20th, 1941 - Planning:
Army Group North objective is still achievable i.e. the
green line objective. But, I need to take care of my two Armor corps. Supply will become soon an issue. As such, I need to reduce the pocket south east of
Riga, capture
Riga and restore the two railway lines going North.

Army Group North - July 20th, 1941 - Situation at the end of German turn:
Riga and
Tallinn are now isolated and the
green line objective is reached but I foresee a big supply problem next turn. I will stop any progres.
I absolutely need to clear the rear area before pushing toward
Leningrad.

Army Group North - July 20th, 1941 - Situation near Murmansk at the end of German turn:
In the far North, an opportunity has raised. The
42nd Army has been badly beaten opening a gap in the Russian lines. If I can reach the city of
Kem, the railway to
Murmansk will be cut...

Army Group Center - July 20th, 1941 - Planning:
Things are going better for Army Group Center. Infantry corps are catching up with my Armor corps. Even if
Minsk did not fall, I think I have an opportunity to break Russian lines and, if possible, reach the city of
Vitebsk this turn.
I hope to destroy the two air units based there.

Army Group Center - July 20th, 1941 - Situation at the end of German turn:
The breakthrough has worked far better than expected.
Vitebsk is taken. However,
I have decided to take a big risk.
Smolensk was unguarded and the rear of two Russian mechanized corps are now threaten. No doubt that the Russian will retake
Vitebsk next turn. But, one of my other goal is reached, Russian are unable to stabilize the front.

Army Group South - July 20th, 1941 - Planning:
Once again the Russian are escaping or are trying to escape. This turn, Army Group South has a new
yellow line objective. We must close this pocket, once and for all, and destroy the units located there. Reaching the
green objective line and
Kiev, now secured by the Russian, is a secondary objective.
A new
blue line objective has been defined for the Rumanian army.

Army Group South - July 20th, 1941 - Situation at the end of German turn:
The reduction of the pocket to the southwest of
Zhitomir worked better than expected. I could free a lot of infantry corps next turn for assaulting the
Dniepr river. I push two Russian mechanized corps, located west of
Kiev, into the
Pripet marshes to prevent the Russians from strengthening
Kiev.
I hope to take
Kiev in the next round.

Interesting, alays wondered how one could do a Barbarossa with so little oil as the German gets in the 41 scenario but it looks like you are managing.

I am even surprised by the fact that my oil stockpile has increased last turn. This is true that I do not use air units much. I am destroying more planes by my tanks when I am overrunning each airfield in range. In addition, moving and limiting my attacks with armored and / or mechanized units helps me save oil.
But, problems are coming. I will be short of supplies soon and this is time to consolidate my advance. Once supply network will be restored, I will be able to use some other supply trucks. I want to keep my two air supply for later.

Supply situation - August 3rd, 1941:
As expected, few of my Panzer corps have no more supply source. The situation of
LVI Panzer corps is the most concerning. This is time for Army Group North to take a breath.
Unexpected is the oil situation of
Finland and
Romania after few turns of combat.

Trade situation - August 3rd, 1941:
To help our allies, we are sending them oil every turn starting now. Air units of
Finland,
Hungary and
Romania are the ones consuming.

Soviet reaction - August 3rd, 1941:
No ground attack this turn but the air activity of the Russians is increasing. Our losses are negligible.
However, we are starting to see signs of Russian strengthening:
1.
Soviet 22nd Army located in
Kiev
2.
Soviet 23rd Army located near
Pskov

Soviet reaction - August 3rd, 1941:
Our air force has destroyed 40 stockpile (the famous hardcoded 40 stockpile!) last turn preventing supply of
Riga forces.

Things are getting worse for Army Group North. Objective
green line is untenable. I need to fallback my Panzer corps especially of
LVI Panzer corps for supply. Objective for this turn, capture
Riga and its railway.

Army Group North - August 3rd, 1941 - unreachable Kem:
In the far North, the
42nd Army has been beaten for the second time and finally destroyed. But, the city of
Kem seems unreachable due to the supply situation.
